SJACS Mentoring Scheme 2011-12 Closing Ceremony/ Hotpot Dinner

The academic year 2011-12 had drawn to a close. To celebrate the closing of the Mentoring Program for the year, a dinner was organized in a restaurant close by the old campus. On the evening of Saturday, 30 June, 64 participants including mentors, mentees, principal and teachers started to arrive from 6.30 pm. Reunion Party for Class of ‘72

After almost 40 years, it was high time a party was held to welcome back Franky Chan Kwok Kit to Hong Kong. Thanks to Johnny HO Chiu Wing, a track-and-field mate of old, a dinner was organized at the Yau Yat Chuen Club in Franky’s honor on the evening of 1 November 2011. Many of Franky’s close friends including, of course, a number of his running mates, managed to show up to greet Franky and his wife, who had come in from Toronto, where they had lived since 1972. more...

Making use of Fred Wu Chi-cheong’s visit to Toronto, the ‘72 Josephians had a BBQ re-union on August 6. Frank Lam Yau-fat had kindly offered his luxurious and cozy house at Unionville to host the event and sponsored everything that we consumed (everything we ate and drank were legally permitted). SJACS English Talent Contest 2011 (17-18 May 2011)

Last year I was invited to see a Talent Show. I thought that was rather cute the way it was put together in a fun but somewhat haphazard way. This year, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an invitation from Jeffrey Yiu, Chair of the English Society, to act as one of the judges. The first Bro. Paul Sun Education Foundation Charity Basketball Tournament was held on November 28, 2010. With the deep love in basketball throughout the SJACS history, the competition attracted twelve teams from the class of 1988 alumni to current SJACS school team players. After a full day of matches, Small Yu Team (class of 1998-2000) was crowned champions after beating Nam Chun (class of 1997-1998) by 22:19. more...

	Coordinators' Gathering on 25th Jun 2010
	Thanks to Alex Li (SJACS'93), we were able to hold our monthly coordinators' party in his spacious Chai Wan photographic studio. In all we had some 15 Josephians turning up. Everyone thought the venue was great, providing a relaxed and casual atmosphere. SJACS "123 Poon Choi" (Farewell Dinner at School on 23 Jan 2010)

On Saturday, 23rd January 2010, our Alma Mater held a "123 Poon Choi" event in the playground area of the secondary school campus. Thanks to the continuing support from our alumni coordinators, we received excellent response from Josephians of all ages. BBQ at Whitehead Club

On Sunday, 27th September 2009 the Association held a barbeque at the Whitehead Club, Sai Kung. Our earlier reservation was cancelled due to bad weather. However, this time our event was blessed with good weather. Despite the usually somewhat oppressive heat and humidity in summer for Hong Kong, on this particular Sunday afternoon the sun was not strong and there was a nice breeze, almost perfect for our activity... more...
