Coordinators’ Gathering on New Campus (30 Apr 2011)
After a break of several months, Coordinators again gathered to resume their important liaison work for Josephians. This gathering on Saturday, April 30 was held in the English Corner on 3/F of the new campus. The choice of venue is considered strategic since this brings us closer to the Alma Mater. It is also very practical because there is plenty of parking.
The new convener taking over from Andrew Li (’72) is Russ Ko (’92). Russ started by welcoming the following participants:

We were pleased to have also with us the following representatives of the SJACS Student Union:

Russ went on to introduce the new Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and other directors as a result of the recent JA Board elections, followed by a briefing on the new operating structure and full-year plan. The new operating structure consists of four working teams which are standing Committees, namely, Membership, Marketing & Public Relations, Sport & Recreation and School Liaison. Activities are many, including sports competitions, the annual dinner, activities with students, helping with the Rev. Bro. Paul Sun Education Foundation’s functions, etc.
On the one hand, we called on participants for support in the coming functions, and asked for volunteers to serve our school, the JA and the Foundation. On the other hand, valuable opinions on the new mode of operation, souvenir items and the coming activities of JA were collected from our fellow Josephians in this warm gathering.
Each one was given a chance to introduce himself and talk about how he could contribute as a coordinator. We discussed the difficulties that the School is facing and there was a frank exchange on how to help our student Josephians. Many remembered the old days and recounted stories of days past. It was a wonderful occasion with lots of warm applause.
And last but not least, thank you everyone for spending your precious time with us on this occasion. Hey, Josephians, see you again next month!
