Mentor Scheme BBQ Gathering 2011

To enhance the cohesion between mentors and mentees, the key activity of the Mentor Scheme 2011 Program was held at Sai Kung Beach Club Barbecue Restaurant on 9 July 2011. Mentees gathered at Choi Hung MTR Station at 3pm, and went to the BBQ site by mini bus with Anthony Mak, Kenneth Ngai and Teacher-in-charge Mr. Tang. In the meantime, Russ Ko, Ivan Leung, Leonard Cheung and Students Union Reps. Derek Hau, Steven Lam, and Jonathan Mak arrived at the venue to take care of the necessary preparation. 

The participants started to arrive from 3.45pm. With wonderful sunshine and a lovely beach front, we started the gathering at 4pm. The restaurant provided us with many different kinds of BBQ ingredients. It was a great opportunity for mentees to enjoy a nice outdoor BBQ with mentors. They talked casually and shared recent experiences in a relaxed atmosphere. Some of them took the chance to get a suntan and frolic on the beach. They mixed together happily. In the middle of the function, group photos were taken on the beach with a nice Sai Kung bay background. One, Two, Three…Smile…

Before the final game session, Anthony thanked the participants for their support and gave a brief introduction of JA to our junior fellows. It was a wonderfully enjoyable gathering for all and many stayed on till 8pm.
