Events and Activities - 44th Joint School Science Exhibition (Aug 2011)

44th Joint School Science Exhibition (Aug 2011)

The annual science exhibition held by the Joint School Science Exhibition Preparation Committee is one of the most notable events of local secondary schools during the year. Member schools include top local secondary schools. SJACS is, of course, a member of long-standing.

This year’s exhibition is held over several days in August at the Central Library, Causeway Bay. The theme is ‘Science against Crimes, Trace out the signs.’ In response, our SJACS science project team ran a booth demonstrating a security alert device that can alert a bicycle owner if his bicycle is tempered with. Such efforts are commendable, of course, and the Josephian alumni are supportive of the students’ continuing participation in the JSSE.

To demonstrate our support, Andrew Li (SJACS’72), Chairman of Josephian Association visited the SJACS booth on 25th August. He watched the demo and chatted with the younger Josephians, passing on the encouragement and good wishes of their seniors. Seen in the pictures are Andrew and Derek Hau (President, Students Association) and others.
