Events and Activities - Lunch Gathering with Raymond Ho (’74) (31 Aug 2011)

Lunch Gathering with Raymond Ho (’74) (31 Aug 2011)

On 31st August, 2011, thanks to Joseph Yick (SJACS ’78) we were pleased to have the opportunity to catch Raymond Ho (SJACS ’74) before he took the ferry to Zhuhai to take up residence as a lecturer of Beijing Normal University – HK Baptist University, UIC campus.

Joseph and Raymond are both US West alumni. Only a few days earlier, the Association did an interview with Joseph, an active international table tennis umpire. Joseph and Daniel Li Hon Keung (SJACS’72) quickly arranged this gathering to meet up with Raymond. Several mentees were first to arrive. There were Frank Choi and his brother Stanley (F.6) and recent F.7 graduates Matthew Lok, Ng Ka Ki and Lam Wei Chun. The conversations naturally centered round college courses and how to find help from other Josephians and connections.

On hand to receive Raymond, his wife and Jason Wong (SJACS’75) was Andrew Li, Chairman of JA. Raymond is a CPA and will be teaching accounting at the Zhuhai campus. It was wonderful to talk about old times and do some catching up over a lovely dim sum lunch.

In closing, let’s not forget to mention that in the Josephian family spirit, over dim sum, Joseph kindly agreed to accept the honor of the role of an honorary advisor to the Table Tennis Club of SJACS. Ad astra!
