Retreat for Board Members

On Saturday, 9^th April, 2011, the JA organized a retreat on the new campus. The purpose is to spend a whole day on brain-storming to be done by participants in a methodical way.

Thanks to the expert guidance of Board Director, Prof. Randy Chiu, who acted as the facilitator, a session was organized for the following directors: Andrew Li, Anthony Mak, Roger Lam, Sammy Chen, Daniel Li, Peter Yeung, Ng Man Kin, Russ Ko, Kenneth Ngai, William Hui and Stephen Sheung.

The session kicked off to an early start at about 10.15 a.m. The facilitator guided participants into a free thinking mode in order to produce ideas. The program logically identifies purposes, objectives, reasons, and activities of the Association with interlinking relationships.

After a quick lunch break, the afternoon session was spent on the regulation of the ideas gathered. The aim was for participants to go through an organized thinking process to find consensus. We looked into a whole spectrum of issues covering, inter alia, our vision, mission, activities, check and balances and deliverables. Participants enjoyed the interaction. The session ended at about 4 p.m.
