
Li Chi Sheng, Andrew (SJACS’72)
Andrew graduated in 1972. He was Class Prefect in F.5B, with Mr. Paul Bednar as Form Master. Andrew is a lawyer by training with a strong background in the commercial and management fields. Mr. Li has a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Economics degree (accounting major) from Monash University, Australia. He is qualified as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia.
After returning to Hong Kong in 1980, he worked as in-house lawyer for Banque Nationale de Paris, Hong Kong and then a major local real estate developer, before joining UK’s telecoms group, Cable & Wireless.
During his 11 years with C&W, he represented Cable & Wireless PLC in investments in China and Asia, including acting as director on the boards of joint venture companies in Taiwan and Thailand.
Over the years, Andrew has gained extensive experience in developing investment projects and start-up ventures and companies from the early fund raising stage to the final exit of investment by way of initial public offering. He is currently Chairman of China Wine Platform, an importer and distributor of wine and accessory products in the PRC.
Andrew is fully committed to the work of the Alumni. Besides acting as the Chairman of the Josephian Association, he is on the Board of Trustees of the Rev. Brother Paul Sun Education Foundation, an officially recognized charitable trust dedicated to the promotion of education.
