After much careful preparation and thanks to the co-operation of the School, our Mentor Scheme officially launched its first trial program on 21st November 2009. In our first year, we have received excellent support and response, successfully enrolling some 19 Mentors and 38 students (in F.5).

To mark the official launch of this year's program, an initial meeting on school premises was called. It was a chilly Saturday morning but many Mentors and Mentees showed up. After a slow start, the meeting warmed up with Mentors and Mentees drumming up lively conversations. This is most encouraging and gives us much hope in a successful outcome for this year's program. Based on our experience this year, it is our intention to expand the Scheme in the following year to cover more Josephians.
