Calling Class of 1962

Last November, Henry Lau of the Class of 1962 paid a visit to the new campus. Henry was warmly received by Principal Paul Yeung, who gave him a guided tour of the campus. Henry was greatly impressed by the modern facilities. Thanks to Principal Yeung, we have made contact with Henry meanwhile.

Henry is now residing in USA. He started his education at SJACS as a Form 2 student when the school was first opened in 1958. After graduating in1962, with Bro. Paul's recommendation, Henry was accepted into La Salle College as a Form 6 student. He left HK for the USA in 1963 to begin his studies in chemistry. Henry worked in the private sector in the US for 6 years after he left graduate school, and then worked as a manager for the U.S, Government (Environmental Protection Agency) in Washington, DC for 30 years until his retirement in 2006. After retirement, he established his own consulting firm, providing technical and regulatory guidance to many American chemical companies to help facilitate EPA's review of the safety of their chemical products prior to commercialization.

Henry is kind enough to send us a photo which was taken two years ago at the official residence of the Governor of the State of Maryland, USA (see picture). He will be sending us also his list of SJACS '62 classmates (name and email address).

Henry has informed us that his classmates (Class of 1962) are organizing a class reunion to celebrate 50 years of friendship on Saturday, November 10, 2012. This will be their first reunion after graduation in 1962. They would very much welcome other Josephians to join their party.
