A Message from Josephian Matthew Poon: In Memory of Rev. Bro. Paul Sun

Dear Fellow Josephians,

25 years ago today, our beloved Rev. Brother Paul Sun departed from us, leaving his legacy and his love in our hearts; his ideals in educating us with Christian Faith and the Chinese traditional value of 仁愛. We pride ourselves as his students, not necessarily his best but among one of his otherwise deprived if we did not have his care and love; and some of us also, as his teaching staff, whom Brother Paul had provided a chance to stage for further studies and pursuit for alternative career interests.

Today, we miss him. Yet, we remember him well; I hope we all do, for what he did. But how many of us, old and young, past and present, Alumni and teachers alike, do? Have we truly learned from him? Treasured his ideals, his kindness and love? His faith and hope for us to do well, not only in School but in our lives?

For these intentions, I pray!
