Below is a message from their convener, Francis Lau:
Hi, everyone,
Happy New Year!
The US West Josephian Old Boys met again on
While we enjoyed the good foods great company sharing wonderful happy memories, we all were grateful and honored to have a classroom being named after us.
We all are all the more committed to keep helping the school to become better now that we have "OUR NAME" on it.
HOW? This is a big question we all raised during the better part of the dinner.
We were also wondering about the causes of our once so glamorous school becoming what it is today.
We were brainstorming on things we could do to help the school to regain its top reputation in the old days:
(1).......Make our representation in the School Board stronger
(2).......Make our Old Boys Association more united and stronger
(3).......Make our Foundation financially stronger
(4).......Introduce "English Teaching" back to our school
(5).......Regain our top rating in 4 years.
Sorry that these are just some over simplified brainstorming ideas coming out while we were eating and chatting. It may not have been carefully thought out and probably no planning at this time or we may not even know the full stories. But it is all done in good faith and with good intentions from all of us, the alumni in this part of the world.
It is a start, and we all can help and contribute to its success.
Andrew (Li).- Let’s hear your words of wisdom on (1) to (5), please!
Matthias - How about your suggestions for all of us (Old Boys) in
