Latest News - Josephian Appointed to School Management Committee

A Josephian has joined the SJACS SMC at its recent meeting on 21st September, 2010. He is Yeung Kong Hing, Peter (楊港興) of the Class of  ‘69.

Married with two children, Peter is now retired, after working for more than 30 years in Human Resources and Administration. Right from his school days, Peter has always been committed to serving the community. He has over 20 years of public and community services in human resources and vocational training, in particular, employment and training for disadvantaged groups in society.

Peter is a Justice of the Peace (JP) and holder of a Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) awarded by the Hong Kong Government.

Due to heath reasons, his predecessor, John Chu (also of Class of ’69) retired earlier from the SMC. Now, in his place, Peter has been appointed by the Diocese to the SMC of SJACS. In fact, Peter is also on the SMC of four other catholic schools.

Peter is joining the old boys’ representative to the SMC, Andrew Li, in helping the School to make improvements in the new academic year. Let’s all welcome Peter to the SMC and give him our best support!
